TCCP

IDYDC will engage partnership with the USAID funded project- TCCP led by the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health Center for Communication Programs (CCP).

TCCP is working partnership with the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare - National AIDS Control Program for AIDS. With TCCP, IDYDC will benefit and improve the 'Social behavior change communication skills to our organization and individuals.

 On 10th, January 2012 IDYDC was visited by Mr. Godfrey Richard - A Training and Mentoring Programme Officer of CCP, who encouraged the organization to join partnership with Tanzania Capacity and Communication Project.

The program officer briefly explained the key objectives and activities of the TCCP and also how our organization will benefit if our staff are trained in ACE Fellowship and ACE Interns.
The organization will further develop the strategy of communication and integrate mass media, community mobilization, interpersonal communication campaigns for HIV, Family Planning, Safe Motherhood, Alcohol harm to youth, OVC/MVC support also Vocational Skills and knowledge to targeted youth.

 IDYDC has acknowledged to present and send its staff for training which is due to begin in June 2012 as shall be scheduled by the organizers.

IDYDC LOAN PROVISION

January 06, 2012 was a loan provision day to IDYDC old and new clients after signing a contract. A total of Tshs 6,200,000/= was provided to 30 clients as soft loan after undertaking a 7 days training on business management.

OVC PROGRAMME(Orphan and Vulnerable Children)

IDYDC under OVC and MVC program is supporting children materially and non- materially. Among many activities performed by IDYDC under the said program include the following;-
OVC program accommodate 288 children in needy in four Iringa's districts namely; Makete, Iringa urban, Kilolo and Ludewa
Basic needs such as food, shelter, water, cloth,school facilities and medical services are provided freely to vulnerable children and young person in its four centres
Vulnerable children, young person and youth are supported intellectually. IDYDC has been paying school fees and provide all important school amenities for all primary and secondary school children while others are trained in vocation skills and knowledge.
IDYDC also providing psycho-social support to children in needy. Guidance and counseling are the basic psychological support given to kids. Nevertheless, re-unification approach is more useful in reducing street children problem.
Under OVC program, IDYDC is withdrawing children from town streets. The program is performed collaboratively with village Executive Secretaries [VEO's].
Finally, under OVC program, IDYDC has supported more than 21,500 orphans and vulnerable children in all seven districts of Iringa since its establishment. 

IDYDC

IDYDC is a local non-governmental organization , founded in 1991, operating in all seven districts of Iringa region , which are Iringa Urban, Iringa Rural, Kilolo, Ludewa, Makete, Mufindi and Njombe with its headquarter in Iringa Municipality.
IDYDC was registered in 1994 as a registered membership organization with its main focus on children in need, e.g. MVCs and OVCs, school drop-outs and child laborers, with the aim of giving them a brighter future by enhancing the children's possibilities of education.
IDYDC OVC program was the first program to be introduced. The program has already assisted more than 20,000 children since its establishment in 1994 through different projects and activities undertaken. Most of them are currently depend on themselves and help their parents while other hundreds of children are still at our centre
